Welcome home to Bear Valley Springs, a gated community nestled in the foothills and mountains just west of Tehachapi, California.

Recreational offerings for our members and their guests include horseback riding on miles of equestrian trails, golfing the well maintained 9-hole golf course, tennis, swimming, fishing in two well-stocked lakes, a shooting range, archery range, camp grounds, workout facility, gym and more.


Seeking Volunteers for BVSA Board Members

 It is that time again of the year when the Bear Valley Springs Association (BVSA) starts looking for Board Members. The BVSA Board of Directors consists of five members.  The Association has responsibility for its common elements as well as the management and operation of the association's business affairs - - all in accordance with standards established by the Governing Documents. To the extent that an association (In our case non-profit 501 (c) (4) corporation) has such authority and control, it is its Board of Directors that carries out these duties and responsibilities.  Officers of the Board include:
PRESIDENT
The President shall be elected by the Board from among the directors.  He or She shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and shall, subject to the control of the Board, have general supervision, direction and control of the affairs and officers of the Association. 
VICE PRESIDENT
The Vice-President shall be elected by the Board from among the directors.  In the absence or disability of the President, the Vice-President shall perform all the duties of the President, and when so acting shall have all the powers of, and be subject to all the restrictions upon, the President. 
SECRETARY
The Secretary need not be a director, but shall be elected by the Board of Directors.  He or she shall keep or cause to be kept, at the principal office or such other place as the Board may order, a book of minutes of all meetings of Directors and members, with the time and place of holding same. 
TREASURER
The Treasurer is the custodian of the funds, securities and financial records of the association. The Treasurer need not be a director, but shall be elected by the Board of Directors.  He or she shall keep and maintain, or cause to be kept and maintained, adequate and correct accounts of the properties and business transactions of the Association, including accounts of its assets, liabilities, receipts and disbursements. 

In accordance with the Bylaws of the Bear Valley Springs Association (BVSA), the 41st, Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday June 9th, 2012 at 2:00PM at the Whiting Center in Bear Valley Springs.  Anyone interested in serving as a Board member this next fiscal year, please contact the Association Office at 821-5537, ext. 231.
