Dear Bear Valley Springs Members and Staff,

The purpose of this update is to introduce myself, touch base on my experience and enthusiasm for joining the Bear Valley Springs Family beginning on Monday, August 7, 2023.

I had the privilege of visiting Bear Valley Springs on several occasions and spent quality time touring our wonderful community with your Board of Directors, Management and staff. I was very impressed with all their commitment, dedication and passion for truly securing pride in the Community and it’s clear to me that Bear Valley Springs is a special place to work, live and play. This is why I feel blessed to have been chosen to lead our wonderful Community. Familiar with the mountain lifestyle as a previous resident in Lake Arrowhead, California, I am very excited to wake up every morning to serve Bear Valley Springs, its members and staff.  

Confident in that future, I am joining Bear Valley Springs with over thirty years of diversified experience in private country club, community and hotel resort management. My experience includes an extensive background in Governance, Community Management ,Financial Administration/ Stability, Golf, Golf Course, Food & Beverage, Tennis/Pickle Ball, Security, Maintenance, Marina, Athletic, Fitness and Recreation operations. Although I owned a horse in my youth, I will have to brush up on the Equestrian operations and jump back into that saddle as quickly as possible.  

I also wanted to note that in addition to my operational experience, you will find my personal attributes are a great fit with Bear Valley Springs as well. Through my career I have placed an emphasis on leading by example, attention to detail, time management, co-worker motivation/ training, co-worker career development, standardized operating procedures, building positive member and co-worker relationships, providing good communication, visibility, approachability, dependability, self-motivation and honesty. Over time, you will also find out that I am a very professional/respectful leader but maintain a pretty good sense of humor and enjoy making work fun.  

Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure to manage Palm Valley Country Club, in Palm Desert, California; Seven Oaks Country Club, in Bakersfield, California with my most recent position as General Manager/ COO at De Cordova Bend Estates and Country Club in Granbury, Texas just to name a few..  

In closing, I am confident that my experience, out-going personality, proven track record and work ethic will be an asset to Bear Valley Springs for many years to come.
